Options For Youth (OFY) is a tuition-free, accredited public charter school in the San Gabriel Valley that specializes in providing students the personalized support they need to graduate high school prepared to enter the workforce and realize their dreams.
Under the guidance of dedicated and caring teachers and staff, OFY students enroll in classes and career preparation programs based on their unique interests, needs, abilities, and schedule outside of school. How does OFY get you to high school graduation?







As a Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) school, when you sign up with OFY, you’ll be asked to choose which career pathway fits your interests and future goals the best from the following list (don’t worry, you can change at any time!) to help guide the kind of custom resources and training you’ll receive:

Every OFY student is provided access to workforce preparation programming, including Career Technical Education (CTE) classes, job fairs and networking events, soft skill workshops (ie. resume building and interviewing strategies), and internship opportunities. Many students will be connected with additional partner resources based on socioeconomic need.

FAQs
Is OFY free?
Yes! OFY is completely FREE for students. There is no tuition or fees of any kind.
I heard there are free travel opportunities. Is that true?
Yes! Options For Youth partners with Pathways Travels to provide travel experiences that are 100% free to students. Trips vary by OFY location but may include a college tour, a farm in Northern California, a ranch in Colorado, Washington D.C., Italy, Cuba, Ireland, and more! Be sure to ask which trips are being offered at your OFY location when you get in touch!
How often do students have to attend Options For Youth centers?
Students are required to meet with their teachers at least twice per week for one hour each visit and may be required to attend additional appointments and/or small group classes if more help is needed in core subjects.
Does OFY have traditional student activities like prom, student leadership, and pep rallies?
Yes, OFY is happy to offer students many traditional high school activities. Activities vary by location, so be sure to fill out the form above and ask your Enrollment Specialist when they call.
Is the diploma received at Options For Youth the same as a diploma received at a traditional high school?
Yes. Options For Youth is a WASC-accredited public school approved by the California State Board of Education and meets or exceeds all high school graduation requirements.
Are there admission requirements?
Options For Youth accepts any student who meets all three of these requirements:
(1) is between the ages of 14-21
(2) is not enrolled in an equivalent educational program, eg. another public high school
(3) resides within the county or a contiguous county of the OFY location’s chartering school district
